Update: Mar 21, 2024
Among many mausoleums of the Nguyen Dynasty, recognized by the UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage in 1993, Emperor Gia Long's mausoleum is a magnificent painting of the coordination between nature and architecture; in which, nature is the main factor creating the grandeur of the architectural structure.

According to the assessment of Japanese experts who have studied the landscape of Emperor Gia Long's mausoleum over the past 7 years, the construction techniques, planning and landscape environment management applied at Emperor Gia Long's mausoleum are the most remarkable and unique in Asia.

When visiting Emperor Gia Long's mausoleum, visitors will be immersed themselves into a majestic space with lush green lawns and rows of ancient mossy pine trees; being looming in the ancient pine forests is the architectural complex of the mausoleums of Emperor Gia Long and the Nguyen Lords.

Right at the entrance, Hue Monuments Conservation Center has invested in environmentally friendly bicycles and electric vehicles. The center also encourages visitors to bring along their own water bottles to refill water or drink water directly from the taps during their visit, with water purifier products that meet standards and ensure the safety and hygienic quality. The water supply station will contribute to reducing the amount of plastic waste in Hue City by encouraging visitors to bring water bottles and personal items instead of using and purchasing disposable plastic ones.
