Ho Chi Minh City is expected to launch the first tourism package to the Spratly Islands on June 22nd.
On June 2nd, the city People’s Committee sent a document to ask the city Department of Tourism, the Department of Transport and tourism companies to continue to realise the city People’s Committee’s direction on providing a tour package to the to Spratly Islands.
The tour to be carried out on June 22nd is a pilot trip to gain experience and create the impetus for continued, official exploitation as well as for the plan to promotion further trips.
The city People’s Committee also requested the city Department of Tourism to work with relevant agencies to build up sea and island tourism development plans for the 2015-2020 period.
The tour to the Spratly Islands will not only bring an interesting experience for tourists but will also act to confirm Viet Nam’s sea and island sovereignty.
