Bac Ninh provincial People's Committee has approved a project on preserving and promoting the intangible cultural heritage value of quan ho Bac Ninh and ca tru singing in the 2013-2020 period.
This is also one of important tasks for Bac Ninh province to implement its commitment with UNESCO on preserving
quan ho folk singing.
The project will be carried out over eight years with the total investment of VND65 billion from the provincial budget.
The project focuses on investing in building and upgrading cultural institutes related to quan ho Bac Ninh folkore singing; promoting the popularization of
quan ho Bac Ninh folkl singing; collecting and reinstating forms of
ca tru singing in Bac Ninh province; and supporting equipment purchase and reinstatement and upgrading of cultural institutions related to
ca tru singing.
