Malaysia to promote tourism in VietNam

(TITC)_From 18th-22nd June, Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board (Tourism Malaysia) in Vietnam will organize a tourism roadshow in three cities of Vietnam including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Hoi An.

It will be started in Hanoi on June 18th at Sheraton Hanoi Hotel, and then in Ho Chi Minh City on June 20th at New World Saigon Hotel and in Hoi An on June 22nd at Hoi An Hotel. Especially, the roadshow in Hoi An will be organized in conjunction with "The 5th Quang Nam Heritage Festival 2013".

This is one of special events leading to Visit Malaysia Year (VMY) 2014 with the theme "Celebrating 1Malaysia Truly Asia". The goal aims to attract 28 million international tourists visiting Malaysia in 2014.

The event is the combination of diverse activities of exchange and cooperation between Malaysian tour operators, hoteliers, theme parks, corporate entities and Vietnamese leading travel agents and airlines to promote Malaysia Tourism Year 2014, Mr. Mohd Akbal Setia, Director of Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board in Vietnam said.

Marking the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Malaysia, the event is also considered a chance for the diplomatic ties and the bilateral cooperation between the two nations in the fields of economics, culture, and tourism.
