Vietnam Airlines adds over 3,600 flights during summer

Aiming to provide service for passengers during the 2013 summer holiday, from June 1 to August 31 the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines (VNA) will add 3,641 flights with more than 700,000 seats on 12 domestic and international routes.
The additional flights will bring the total capacity of the carrier during the period to more than 5.53 million seats, a year-on-year rise of 22 percent.

During the peak time from June 15 to August 15, VNA will operate an average of 333 flights a day.

Under the plan, on domestic routes with high demand, VNA will increase flights on the Hanoi - Phu Quoc route, Ho Chi Minh city (HCMC) -Nha Trang - Danang route, and from HCMC to Nha Trang, Da Nang, Thanh Hoa and Hai Phong, with additional capacity of 19 percent to 64 percent on year. Of which, flights with the highest additional capacity will be HCMC - Danang at 64 percent, Hanoi - Da Nang at 39 percent and Hanoi - Nha Trang at 29 percent.

On international routes, VNA will add flights on Hanoi - Bangkok route (up 32 percent on year), HCMC - Bangkok (27 percent), HCMC -Taipei (26 percent) and HCMC - Kaohsiung (36 percent).

VNA will continue to apply special preferential programmes to meet abundant demand from passengers, including flights with the same price, family products, early booking for a good price, and flying with business class to double benefit.
