Chu Dong Tu-Tien Dung Traditional Festival 2013 to be observed

The Chu Dong - Tien Dung Traditional Festival will take place from March 21st-23rd in Da Hoa Temple Relic in Binh Minh Commune, Khoai Chau district, Hung Yen province, as one of the key activities of the National Tourism Year of the Red River Delta - Hai Phong 2013.

Accordingly, apart from traditional rites, such as the palanquin procession and Sinh Tien dance, this year's festival also includes folk games, Cheo (traditional operetta) and Chau Van singing.

 

The event's highlight is the artistic exchange themed "Chu Dong Tu, Tien Dung - an immortal love song" organized by the People's Committees of Khoai Chau and Van Giang districts, the People's Army Newspaper and VTC Digital Television in Da Hoa Temple on March 21st at 8pm. The program will be broadcast live on national channels.

 

The event also entertains the participants with folk songs and dances reflecting the immortal love between the poor fisherman Chu Dong Tu and princess Tien Dung, and an exchange with well-known historians and poets, such as history professor Le Van Lan and poet Tran Dang Khoa.

 

Besides, it will also provide participants with more information, amid the beauty of the Hung Yen province land and people.
