Update: Feb 06, 2013
Various cultural activities will be organized at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology from February 15th to 17th as part of the "Spring Celebration" program, co- organized by the museum and the Yen Bai provincial Culture, Sports and Tourism Department.

The program aims to create a playground for visitors during the Lunar New Year Festival and to contribute to preserving and promoting the cultural heritages of localities and ethnic groups.

Accordingly, cultural activities and special dishes of ethnic groups in Yen Bai province will be introduced in Hanoi for the first time.

Visitors will also have an opportunity to take part in familiar games and cultural activities associated with Tet as celebrated by Vietnamese people and ethnic minority groups, such as the sap dance, scarf dance, conical hat dance, Dong Ho picture painting and puppetry performances, as well as try the costumes of ethnic groups such as Hmong, Dao, Thai and Phu La.

On January 7th on the lunar calendar, craftsmen from Hai Phong City will entertain visitors with a fireworks display and other interesting activities.
