Spring Flower Festival to open Feb 5

The Spring Flower Festival to welcome Tet will kick off on February 5 (the 25th day of lunar December) and wraps up on February 17 (the eighth day of lunar January) at Tao Dan Park in District 1.

This is the 20th anniversary of the first event with over 8,000 artworks made from flowers, bonsai, dried plants, cactus, fruit and stones. Numerous valuable collections of orchid and cactus will be unveiled for the first time. The event also attracts artisans from Indonesia and South Korea who will inform showcase how to take care of bonsai and the latest technologies for gardening.

 

There are lion dance, traditional/flamenco dance and comedy performances during the festival. A highlight will be "Dong Da Festival" at 8 p.m. on February 14 (the fifth day of lunar January).

 

Apart from Tao Dan Park, the another Spring Flower Festival will also take place at Quoc Te Square in District 3 and Phu My Hung urban zone town in District 7.
