Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Pacific on February 12 announced that they will add seven flights (around 1,300 seats) on the main route of Ha Noi-Ho Chi Minh City between February 12 -14, 2018, to meet the growing demand of passengers.
As planned, each day, an additional flight will depart from Ha Noi at 14h50 and one from Ho Chi Minh city at 18h00 operated by the national flag carrier, while low-cost airlines Jetstar Pacific will increase an additional flight for the Ho Chi Minh city-Hanoi route at 10h30 on February 13th.
From February 5 -12, there was record seat occupancy on the core Ha Noi-Ho Chi Minh City route operated by Vietnam Airlines, accounting for 95% - 99%. Its human resources, especially pilots, engineers and technicians, have been constantly improved.
According to the Airports Corporation of Viet Nam (ACV), the total passengers travelling at Tan Son Nhat airport alone in the lunar New Year 2018 is expected to reach over 4 million, an increase of 25% in compared with the same period last year.
