Vietnamese culture draws big crowd in Czech Republic
Update: May 25, 2015
Nearly 3,000 people enthusiastically enjoyed the “Experiencing Viet Nam” event, which was held in Prague, the Czech Republic, on May 21.

It is one of the main activities of the ‘The Year of Vietnamese Culture in the Czech Republic’ programme and is part of the 65 events marking the 65th anniversary of Viet Nam-Czech diplomatic relations.

Vietnamese companies erected 40 booths displaying, introducing and selling made-in-Viet Nam handicraft products and packaged food. Traditional dishes and coffee drew a big crowd.

In addition, folk songs, dances, traditional music, ao dai (Vietnamese traditional dress), and ethnic minority costumes are also a magnet for audiences.

Viet Nam’s Ambassador to the Czech Republic Truong Manh Son said the event looks to help Czech people explore and experience some of Vietnam’s natural beauty, customs, and culture demonstrated by the Vietnamese community in the host country.
