Art performance festival celebrates 40th anniversary of Southern liberation and national unification

The Department of Grassroots Culture under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will organize a mass art performance festival in Ho Chi Minh City and the central province of Quang Tri.

The festival aims to celebrate the 40th anniversary of southern liberation and national unification (April 30th), the 125th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birth (May 19th) and grassroots party congress toward the 12th National Party Congress.

In Ho Chi Minh City, the festival will take place from April 10th to 13th with the participation of artistic groups from Thai Binh, Lao Cai, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Quang Nam, Ninh Thuan, Khanh Hoa and Binh Thuan provinces, and Ha Noi. A part from art performances in Ho Chi Minh City and its surrounding provinces, there will be an incense offering to President Ho Chi Minh at Ho Chi Minh Museum, and a post exhibition at 23/9 park, district 1, Ho Chi Minh city.

In Quang Tri Province, the festival will take place from April 17th to 20th with the participation of artistic troupes from Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Kon Tum, Tien Giang, Binh Dinh, Thua Thien – Hue and Quang Tri provinces and Da Nang City. There will be also a poster exhibition like in Ho Chi Minh City and homage to Truong Son Martyrs’ Cemetery.
