Phu Tho boosts investment in tourism

(TITC) - In order to develop tourism into key economic sector, by 2020, Phu Tho Province will spend more than VND 5,800 billion on tourism development and about VND 13,000 billion by 2030.

Accordingly, investment in key infrastructure system, development of tourism human resources, forming provincial typical tourism products will be prioritized.


 

Initially, the province will focus on completing 5 major projects to put into operation before 2020, including Hung King Temple National tourism complex, ecotourism site of Xuan Son National Park (Tan Son District), Thanh Thuy Mineral Water Resort (Thanh Thuy District), tourism areas of Van Lang, Bach Hac - Ben Got.

Other projects as Center for commerce, travel services and hotels; Tam Nong eco-resort urban Area; Ao Gioi - Suoi Tien Resort; Ao Chau Pond tourist site… will be invested in the 2021-2030 period.

The province will also strengthen investment in building tourism vocational training establishments to ensure providing highly qualified workforce with skills needed as professional knowledge, foreign language, good communication and enhance international cooperation in training and research.

Besides, the province will focus on developing cultural tourism products associated with Hung King Temple Festival, visiting relic sites, Xoan singing…

The number of international tourist arrivals and domestic trippers is expected to achieve 6,000 and more than 7.2 million by 2015; 10,000 and 8.2 million by 2020; 25,000 and 10.7 million by 2030, respectively.

The province will also strive for reaching total tourism receipts of VND 564 billion by 2015 and VND 3,813 billion by 2030.
