Launching ceremony of Viet Nam’s world heritage site club

(TITC)_On 4th Dec, Viet Nam’s world cultural and natural heritage site club was launched at Thang Long-Ha Noi Heritage Conservation Centre.

The club is a social organization gathering 7 members of Viet Nam’s world cultural and natural heritage site including Hue Monuments Conservation Centre, Thang Long-Ha Noi Heritage Conservation Centre, Ha Long Bay Management Board, Ho Dynasty Citadel Heritage Conservation Center, Management Board of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, Hoi An Centre of Heritage Conservation and Management, and Management Board of My Son Sanctuary and experts working in preservation and development of the values of world cultural and natural heritage in Viet Nam.

In the first year of operation, the representative of Hue Monuments Conservation Centre will be the chairman of the club. The club is considered as a forum for mutual cooperation and assistance between members of the club in the management and conservation of Viet Nam’s world cultural and natural heritage.

At the launching ceremony, Dr. Duong Bich Hanh from Ha Noi’s UNESCO Office said Viet Nam’s world heritage site club will aim to promote the conservation and development of the values of world cultural and natural heritage in Viet Nam. Furthermore, many Viet nam’s world heritage preservation and promotion activities were highly appreciated by UNESCO experts.

She also hoped that the process of social-economic development will be associated with the preservation of Viet Nam’s world cultural and natural heritage in the future.
