Central provinces attracted large number of international tourists

(TITC) - Thanks to quality improvement solutions, in the past nine months, the number of international tourist arrivals to the Central provinces and tourism receipts rose significantly.

According to the Thua Thien - Hue Province's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in the first nine months of 2013, the province attracted 1.998 million tourist arrivals, including over 752,000 international arrivals. Tourism receipts estimated VND 1,842 billion, increasing by 11.3 percent over the same period last year, including 61.78 percent of the receipts from international tourists. Specially, tourism stimulus programs in Hue Heritage Month from 2nd to 30th September with many promotional offers contributed to luring tourists to Hue Heritage Sites. Thua Thien - Hue tourism will also have chance to get more positive results in the coming time thanks to the reopening of Phu Bai airport on 20th September and many other tourism promotional programs of the province.

In the first nine months of 2013, Danang City welcomed 2.54 million tourist arrivals, up 19.7 percent in comparison with the same period last year, including 2 million domestic tourist trippers and 540,000 international arrivals (up 16.5 percent). Total tourism revenue estimated VND 6,084 billion, 93.6 percent of the year's plan, increasing by 32 percent over the same period last year. In order to achieve these notable results, Danang City has strengthened the management of tourism environment, security and safety for tourists. The city has also focused on infrastructure investment, tourism promotion, important event organization. Besides, the four Guinness World Records Ba Na cable car and some new bridges are big attractions of Danang tourism. Danang was ranked among the top 10 attractive tourism destinations in Asia by readers of Smart Travel Asia.

Being endowed with many famous tourist areas, Khanh Hoa Province received more than 478,000 international arrivals in the past nine months, up nearly 25 percent compared to last year's same period. International arrivals from some markets rose strongly, including Russia (190%), South Korea (60%), Australia (40%) ... The number of tourist arrivals to Khanh Hoa Province is expected to increase strongly when more flights from Moscow, Far East of Russia to Nha Trang are added in the coming time.
