Enjoy buffet, ethnic music, folk games at Non La Theater
Update: Jul 02, 2012
Nestled in the HCMC Labor Culture Palace, the Non La Theater is suggested as an ideal venue for diners to enjoy ethnic musical shows as well as buffet programs.

On Thursdays and Sundays from 5 p.m., many artists of the theater wear traditional costumes of the northwestern region, ethnic people, ao dai or ao ba ba of the Mekong Delta area to help guests play folk games such as bamboo dancing, bamboo bridge stepping and string throwing.

Guests can then stop at a handmade souvenir shop with wooden musical instruments, conical hats, bamboo bicycles or handmade flower vases.

The theater also hosts Ngoc Viet Show which features many Vietnamese ethnic musical instrument performances with monochord, stone musical instrument, flute, drums, gongs and other traditional string instruments. Moreover, the show also gives guests an insight into Vietnamese culture with royal dance shows.

On the ground floor of the theater is the Buffet Restaurant where diners can enjoy a wide range of Western, Asian and Vietnamese dishes. The restaurant is impressive with its countryside style with bamboo tables and countryside scenery on the walls and corners of the restaurant.

For those who love Asian dishes, Hong Kong steamed fish, steamed chicken with onion, fried rice with seafood and chicken curry will satisfy their tastes.

Meanwhile, lovers of Western dishes will be served potato chips, Italian noodles, beef fried with pepper or grilled shrimp. Its Vietnamese cuisine includes numerous rice noodle soups, curry, salad, pancakes and sweet soup.
