The 2023 Da Nang Paragliding Tournament with the theme "Flying over the Tien Sa Sea" opened at Son Tra peninsula and Tho Quang beach, Son Tra district, Da Nang city, on July 29, with the participation of more than 120 pilots from paragliding clubs across the country.

This is one of the main sports activities in the Da Nang Summer Festival 2023 programme, organised by the Da Nang Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with related units.
Nguyen Trong Thao, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang city, said that the number of athletes participating in this year's tournament increased significantly as compared to previous years. Of which Da Nang city contirbuted a large number of athletes, including 30 athletes from 2 clubs: the Da Nang Paragliding and Son Tra Paragliding

The Da Nang Paragliding Tournament 2023 drew the participation of 120 pilots from 17 clubs across the country. In particular, paragliding teams from Laos and Thailand are participating in motorized paragliding performances.

The pilots started at the Ban Co Peak (Chess Board Peak) on Son Tra Peninsula and landed on Tho Quang beach. The events included precision landings for non-motorized paragliders and motorized paragliding demonstrations.

The organising board will judge and award prizes to individual men and women, male and female teammates, and Fun Fly flying content.
