Thua Thien Hue ready to welcome international visitors
Update: Mar 08, 2022
The tourism sector in the central province of Thua Thien Hue has launched a number of tourism stimulus schemes aimed at attracting more tourists, especially as the country plans to reopen its borders to international arrivals on March 15.

Furthermore, the provincial travel association has conducted group trips, surveyed new tourism products at Laguna Lang Co Complex Resort, and designed tours to notable attractions such as A Luoi and Tam Giang lagoon.

Tran Huu Thuy Giang, director of the provincial Department of Tourism, revealed that the local tourism industry has focused on designing fresh products for visitors such as a night street zone around Hue Imperial Citadel, Dong Ba night market, and a series of tourist attractions that run along the banks of the Perfume river.

Nguyen Thanh Binh, vice chairman of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that the locality has restarted tourism activities in a bid to prepare for receiving international tourists, upgrading infrastructure while simultaneously striving to become a safe and friendly destination in the near future.

With a shortage of workforce caused by the adverse impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic over the past two years, the provincial Department of Tourism is anticipated to host training schemes which can improve the skills of employees via both face-to-face and online platforms in a bid to meet future market demand.
