The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism organizes conference to stimulate tourism

(TITC) - On 24 September 2020, in Hanoi, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism cooperated with VnExpress Online Newspaper and related parties to hold a conference on stimulating tourism “Experience a safe and attractive Vietnam”. The program had the participation of local tourism authorities, travel associations, airlines, tourism businesses, large corporations and press agencies.
 
The tourism stimulus event was organized by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism while the Covid-19 epidemic in Vietnam has been well controlled and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just continued to launch the domestic tourism stimulus program in the last months of 2020. In this phase, the program will focus on the theme of “Safe” and “Attractive” of Vietnam Tourism.
 
 
In regard to safety criteria, service suppliers from transportation, aviation, accommodation, entertainment... must comply with regulations on safety procedures. At the same time, tourists should have a sense of proactively preventing the epidemic of Covid-19 as recommended by the Ministry of Health and install applications such as Bluezone.
 
Attraction criteria is reflected in the connection between the stimulus alliances to bring tourists diversified, attractive and quality tourism products at good prices, especially resort packages, golf and MICE tourism; reasonable and flexible refund policy. At this stage, the stimulus program focuses on quality, increasing experience, thereby increasing spending of guests.
 
At the discussion session on safe tourism, the conference heard about safety solutions for the destination of representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Tourism. The representative of the Hotel Management Department (Vietnam National Administration of Tourism) also emphasized the requirements for safety of services and products of the tourism industry.
 
 
In the second session, with the topic of attractive tourism, localities and businesses introduced a series of new and high-class tourism products, travel combos (airline tickets, hotel rooms) with preferential prices, discount tickets for entertainment, especially in famous destinations such as Nha Trang, Phu Quoc...
 
Previously, the domestic tourism stimulus program launched by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on May 8, 2020 was strongly supported by localities, business communities, bringing about positive results. The number of domestic tourists increased sharply in May, June and July, recording positive growth over the same period in 2019. However, from July 25, 2020, the Covid-19 outbreak risen again in some tourist destinations.
 
This stimulus conference hosted by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism is the opening event for the upcoming stimulus events of localities and tourism businesses throughout the country, which are expected to give a boost to the industry.
