Vietjet launches new route connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Van Don

The budget carrier Vietjet Air has launched a new route between Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City and Van Don Airport in Quang Ninh Province.

The new service connects Viet Nam’s largest city with Quang Ninh Province, home to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ha Long Bay, meeting a growing demand for air transport in Viet Nam.

The launch ceremony took place at Van Don Airport, where passengers on the first flight of this route received gifts from Vietjet.

The HCMC – Van Don route operates return flights on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

The flight time is about 2 hours and 15 minutes per leg. The flight departs from HCMC at 7:00 am and arrives in Van Don at 9:15 am while the returning flight takes off in Van Don at 9:50 am and lands in HCMC at 12:05 pm.

Van Don is an island district and an attractive tourist destination with its unique beauty of serenity and wilderness.

With a flight network comprising 39 domestic routes and 66 international routes, Vietjet operates safe flights with a technical reliability rate of 99.66%, the highest rate in the Asia Pacific region.
