Over 40 countries and territories attending ITE-HCMC 2018

(TTIC) - Over 40 countries and territories with over 300 booths and many attractive activities will attend the 14th International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City 2018 (ITE – HCMC 2018). This information was announced by Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Department at the press conference on 30 March 2018 in Ha Noi.

According to the organizers, ITE – HCMC 2018 will be held from 6 to 8 September 2018 at Sai Gon Exhibition & Convention Centre (SECC). The expo will focus on expanding the market share of international visitors in four key markets, including North America, Europe, Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia. This year’s ITE will increase in scale and quality with the participations of many airlines, hotels, resorts, tour operators and large corporations around the world.

ITE – HCMC 2018 is expected to attract about 300 international buyers, 30,000 visitor arrivals, a growth rate of over 20% compared to 2017.

In the framework of the expo, there will be many activities such as the Buyer and Press Program, the Opening Ceremony - Gala Dinner themed “Vietnamese culinary quintessence”, seminar on “Introducing famous tourist destinations in Viet Nam’, ITE HCMC 2018 Awards, Viet Nam-China Tourism Cooperation Conference, seminars on markets of the Republic of Korea, Japan, Taiwan (China), Australia, Western Europe, Tourism Promotion Improvement Conference chaired by Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism, tourism photo exhibition “Viet Nam - Great Journey”.

Organized for the first time in 2004, ITE – HCMC 2018 has become the most prestigious and largest international tourism event in the Lower Mekong Region. At ITE – HCMC 2017, there was over 14,000 trade visitor arrivals, over 16,000 visitor arrivals and more than 5,200 meetings among businesses.
