Lantern and light festival in Ho Chi Minh City

The first giant lantern and light festival in Ho Chi Minh City is being organized from December 8, 2017 to January 21, 2018 as part of an array of events of “Allunee - Connecting the Community”.

The festival is one the most exciting and festive celebrations to welcome Christmas and New Year's Eve 2018. Artisans spent months making skillful and sophisticated lanterns with the traditional symbols such as Mountain Genie, Water Genie, Thanh Giong, Thien Mu Tower, and Van Mieu Mon. 

In addition, many exciting programs held during the event such as a special music show, entertainment activities, and booths showcasing Vietnamese fashion and specialty food.

The “Allunee - Connecting the Community” is gradually becoming a festival which connects shopping and tourism, attracting more tourists to the city.
