August activities at Viet Nam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism

Many cultural activities under theme “I love my village” is taking place from August 1 to 31, at the Viet Nam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.

During the program, children have an opportunity to draw paintings to express their love for the homeland, the nation, beautiful landscapes, the Viet Nam National Village for Ethnic Culture and ethnic minority groups at the village; join a training course at the Khmer pagoda to help them study good things and listen to lessons on filial duty and proper behavior suitable with their age; and participate with flower garlands and colored lanterns on the occasion of the 15th day of the seventh lunar month.

In addition, there are also cultural activities imbued with traditional identities such as the traditional festival of Co Tu ethnic minority group in A Luoi District, the central province of Thua Thien - Hue, artistic and gong performances.

Visitors also have a chance to experience activities of musical instrument creation, knitting, traditional sports, and introduction to traditional foods and local products.

Circus performances by the Viet Nam Circus Federation, art performances by students from the Faculty of Ethnic Culture under the Ha Noi University of Culture, folk singing performances and ethnic games will also held.

Every weekends, demonstrations of the customs of ethnic minority groups and other experiences at the common house of the community group of 54 ethnic minority groups will promote exchanges among groups, attracting tourists to the village.
