VNAT promotes Viet Nam tourism at World Travel Market (WTM) 2016

(TITC) – From 07 – 09 November 2016, the delegation of Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) led by Deputy Director General Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong coordinated with some local tourism authorities and tourism enterprises to attend WTM 2016 in London (UK).

This global leading tourism event is an opportunity for Viet Nam to introduce tourism potentials and policies, grasp market trend and expand business cooperation.

 With an area of 102m2, Viet Nam tourism’s booth, built in the shape of houses in Hoi An Ancient Town – the World Cultural Heritage, welcomed a great number of visitors enjoying traditional art performances, sharing information and seeking cooperation opportunities. Vietnamese typical products of cultural tourism, sea-island tourism, adventure tourism, cruise tourism, gastronomy… were promoted at WTM 2016 to boost attracting more visitors from the UK and Europe.

 At WTM 2016, Vietnamese tourism enterprises including Vietravel, Muong Thanh Hospitality Corporation, Ho Tram, Veranda, Vietnamtourism, Hanoi Redtours, Indochina Travel, Vietnam Heritage Tours, Far East Tour, Hung Anh Travel & Trade JSC, Pelican Cruise, Tuan Chau 5-star Yacht JSC, La Casa Hotel… actively met and exchanged information with foreign partners to seek cooperation opportunities.

 On 08 November, VNAT organized a press conference to provide information on new policies, tourism products and services, airline services to British and European media agencies. At the press conference, VNAT introduced the new tourism promotion website at www.vietnamtourism.vn with the core idea of stimulating visitors’ emotions and feelings about Viet Nam through their senses.

 In her speech, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong emphasized the importance of British and European markets to Viet Nam tourism. The tourism sector is making efforts to facilitate travel of international tourists to Viet Nam and improve the quality of tourism products and services.

Being a safe, friendly and attractive destination, Viet Nam becomes more and more popular with international visitors. In the past 10 months of 2016, there were 209,048 British tourists travelling to Viet Nam, increasing 21.7% over the same period last year. This number is expected to rise rapidly in the last 2 months of the year.
