Da Nang International Fireworks Competition to be held annually
Update: Jul 01, 2016
Da Nang International Fireworks Competition (DIFC) will be held annually instead of biennially, and last from 2 days to 2-3 weeks, on the occasion of the anniversary of the city’s liberation.

The Da Nang City People’s Committee has agreed in principle to assign Sun Group to organize the DIFC from 2017. Accordingly, the group will be responsible for all expenses of the event.

A representative from Sun Group said the group will upgrade DIFC from a competition to a festival, with many new points compared to the previous events.

The event is expected to be arranged from April 14th to 29th annually with the participation of about eight teams, and there will a performance by the winner and participants.

Notably, fireworks will be displayed at a fixed location, as Sun Group will build a grandstand with a capacity of 30,000 people on the banks of Han river. In addition, there will be a light festival, parachute jumping and cuisine contest among the fireworks displays.
