(TITC) - On 14 May 2016, in Cinema Culture Centre (No. 5, 30/4 Street, Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province), Department of Culture (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) in collaboration with Binh Duong Province organized the opening ceremony of Southern Don ca tai tu Festival in the expanded Southeast region 2016.

The ceremony had the attendances of Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism – Mr. Huynh Vinh Ai, Head of Department of Propaganda and Education (Binh Duong Provincial Committee of the Party) – Mr. Le Huu Phuoc, Vice Chairman of Binh Duong People’s Committee of Binh Duong Province – Mr. Dang Minh Hung.
Southern Don ca tai tu Festival in the expanded Southeast region 2016 attracted Don ca tai tu bands from 11 provinces/city, namely An Giang, Ben Tre, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Tay Ninh, Long An, Vinh Long, Tien Giang, Binh Duong, and Ho Chi Minh City. With the theme “Sweet flavor and beauty of the South”, the festival consisted of many performances with contents of praising the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, love for country, educating revolution tradition…
This is the opportunity for artisans in Binh Duong Province to exchange and learn experience of artisans from 11 provinces/city in the South and also the important preparation for Binh Duong Province to organize successfully the 2nd National Don ca tai tu Festival in 2017.
In the framework of the festival, Don ca tai tu bands also exchanged and performed to serve local people in 5 localities in Binh Duong Province, including Thu Dau Mot City, Thuan An Town, Di An Town, Tan Uyen Town, and Phu Giao District.
