Da Nang sea tourism season kicks off
Update: May 01, 2016
The Da Nang sea tourism season officially got underway with a special programme launced in Son Tra peninsula, the central city of Da Nang on April 29.

The programme, to last until May 5, aims to introduce new tourist services, particularly in Son Tra peninsula and local beaches, as well as call on the public to protect sea and island environment.

Twenty events will be held over the course of seven days, including a bikini flashmob show, a kayak race and sport dances.

Those who want to experience Da Nang at night could attend “Night at My Khe beach” or watch the sky through telescopes.

A contest - Coloring Posters Da Nang 2016 on the theme “Joining hands to protect red-shanked douc and responding to Year of Urban Culture and Civilisation” – will be held to spread the message on the need to protect Son Tra ecological system.

The same day, the management board for Son Tra peninsula and Da Nang beaches held a seminar to introduce local tourism potentials and outline appropriate tourism strategies.

Da Nang beach has been honoured by the US’s Forbes magazine as one of the six most beautiful beaches on the planet.
