“The Color of Ha Noi” exhibition opens

A painting exhibition entitled “The Color of Ha Noi” opened on January 12th to welcome the 12th National Party Congress and the Lunar New Year festival 2016 at Ha Noi’s Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center.

The exhibition, displaying 60 paintings of 18 painters, features beautiful Viet Nam scenery, and portraits of Hanoians in particular and Vietnamese in general, in a close and simple way.

The lacquer, silk, relief and oil paintings depict completely the artists’ love for country, people and art skills to the visitors.

Dr. and Painter Phan Thi Thanh Mai, Director of the Ha Noi UNESCO Center for Fine Arts and representative of the organizing board, said the works’ norm at the exhibition are to contribute effort of creative labour to the art of country and bring to the public new values of artistic and aesthetic culture.

"The Color of Ha Noi” exhibition jointly held by the Hanoi UNESCO Center for Fine Arts and the management board of Ha Noi’s Old Quarter will run until January 25th, 2016./.
