Ha Noi improves knowledge of tourism for local community

(TITC) - Aiming to provide basic knowledge of tourism for local community, Ha Noi tourism sector has recently organized 3 training courses in Thay Pagoda Relic (Quoc Oai District), Tay Phuong Pagoda (Thach That District) and Phu Vinh Rattan Village (Chuong My District) for about 150 representatives of villages, communes and relic areas.

Local community plays an important role in tourism development, especially in terms of environment protection, behavior which make good impressions for tourists as well as contribute to the attractiveness of tourism destinations.

At the courses, the participants were introduced about overview of tourism; development of Ha Noi tourism; value of relics and craft villages in developing tourism. Besides, they were trained skills of a tour guide; how to communicate with tourists and learn about custom and habit of different tourist markets. Furthermore, the participants had a chance to practice skills in craft villages and relic areas.

According to Ha Noi Department of Tourism, after the training courses, local community’s awareness of tourism is significantly raised and quality of tourism human resource in Ha Noi City is also improved.

By the end of 2015, Ha Noi Department of Tourism will continue to host similar training courses in other areas likely Bat Trang ceramic village (Gia Lam District) and Van Phuc Silk Village (Ha Dong District).
