Luring more tourists from Western European countries to Viet Nam

(TITC) – To promote Viet Nam tourism in Western European market, from 9 – 13 November 2015, Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) in collaboration with Viet Nam Tourism Association, Vietnam Airlines and Vietnamese diplomatic missions abroad organized Viet Nam tourism roadshows in France, Spain and Germany.

In his opening speech, Mr. Ha Van Sieu - Deputy Director General of VNAT appreciated the potentials of these markets for Viet Nam tourism. He affirmed that Viet Nam always welcomes international visitors and facilitates expansion of tourism cooperation among foreign and Vietnamese tourism enterprises. Along with popular destinations as Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh Province), Sa Pa (Lao Cai Province), Complex of Hue Monuments (Thua Thien – Hue Province), Hoi An Ancient Town (Quang Nam Province), beaches in Da Nang, Nha Trang, Binh Thuan…, an abundance of new destinations and services were also introduced to French, Spanish and German people, including Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark (Ha Giang Province), Phu Quoc Island (Kien Giang Province), river tourism in Mekong Delta…

Viet Nam tourism roadshow in France

Viet Nam tourism roadshows attracted the attention of French, Spanish and German tourism enterprises and media agencies. The participants focused on discussing about visa waiver policy, products and services of Viet Nam tourism and Vietnam Airlines. They proposed Vietnamese Government to extend visa waiver program for citizens of Western European countries from 1 year to 5 years and length of stay in Viet Nam from 15 days to 30 days. According to the participants, Viet Nam tourism should boost promotional activities in France, Spain and Germany in the coming time.

In the framework of Viet Nam tourism roadshow in France, on 9 November 2015, VNAT’s delegation led by Deputy Director General Ha Van Sieu worked with the Embassy of Viet Nam in France, Vietnamese Cultural Centre in France; met The France-Viet Nam Friendship Association, Vietnamese Enterprise Association in France to unify some policies for expanding and developing Viet Nam tourism in France.

On the sideline of Viet Nam tourism roadshows in Barcelona (Spain) on 11 November and in Frankfurt (Germany) on 13 November, Deputy Director General Ha Van Sieu had meetings with representatives of Vietnamese Community in these two cities to call their help on promoting safe, friendly and quality Viet Nam destination to Spanish and German people.
