MITT was held for the first time in 1994, and has become one of the largest travel fairs in the world. At this year’s MITT, the Vietnamese delegation will promote the brand “Viet Nam – Timeless Charm”, tourism products attracting Russian visitors such as sea-island tourism, health and medical care, eco-tourism, etc; introduce new features of tourism development policy in Viet Nam.
Viet Nam’s tourism booth at MITT 2018 has a total area of 80m². Here, there will be many activities to introduce the unique culture, diversified cuisine, specific art performances of Viet Nam.
In the framework of the exhibition, the Vietnamese delegation will attend the events of the organizing board at the same time participate in seminars, meetings and exchanges with international partners to enhance cooperation in the field of tourism.
Russia is one of the key markets of Viet Nam tourism and also the leading market in Europe sending visitors to Viet Nam with long stay and high expenditure. In 2017, Viet Nam welcomed over 574 thousand Russian visitor arrivals, an increase of 32.3% compared to 2016. In the first two months of 2018, the number of Russian visitors to Viet Nam reached more than 141 thousand arrivals, increasing by 19.5% over the same period of 2017.
