Promoting Viet Nam tourism in MITT Exhibition 2015

(TITC) - From 18 to 21 March 2015, the 22nd Moscow International Travel and Tourism (MITT) Exhibition takes place in Expocentre Fairgrounds (Moscow, the Russian Federation). This is the largest and longest running international tourism exhibition in Russia and considered as one of top five events of the tourism industry in the world.

Held annually in Moscow since 1994, MITT attracts the participations of national tourism boards, tourism and tourism real estate enterprises from more than 200 countries and territories.

This year’s exhibition will have new features such as online matchmaking service that allows enterprises to pre-schedule appointments with key customers as well as arrange time for meetings. In addition, the exhibition area Global Village for international tourism service providers to showcase their offerings is also deployed in MITT 2015. The first two days of the exhibition are dedicated to trade visitors only.

Attending MITT 2015, Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) in collaboration with Vietnam Airlines and Focus Travel, Anh Duong Tours, Incentra build the common booth of Viet Nam tourism in an area of 76m². The booth introduces and promotes Viet Nam tourism – Timeless Charm; activities of National Tourism Year 2015 – Thanh Hoa with the theme “Connecting World Heritage”; specific tourism products for Russian tourist market (sea-island leisure; sea-island leisure combined with culture tourism; MICE tourism; city tours; eco-tourism…). Besides, many art performances held at the booth attracted numerous visitors to learn about Viet Nam tourism.

Also in the framework of the exhibition, on 20 March, VNAT in cooperation with Vietnam Airlines organize the roadshow to promote Viet Nam tourism to about 100 Russian tourism enterprises and press agencies.

In recent years, thanks to focus on enhancing promotion of Viet Nam tourism to source markets, especially Russia, the number of international tourists to Viet Nam keeps the growth impetus. In 2014, Viet Nam recorded 7,874,312 international tourist arrivals, including 364,873 Russian ones, an increase of 22.4% compared with 2013. Russia is a source market with high expenditure, and always among the top 10 markets sending tourists to Viet Nam.
