Under the theme “Back to the Village”, Phu My Hung Flower Fair 2016 arouses with the love for motherland, the image of family reunion and traditional villages to local residents and oversea Vietnamese returning Viet Nam for traditional Tet holiday.
Visiting Phu My Hung Flower Fair 2016, visitors will have chance to contemplate unique landscapes of Vietnamese villages displaying at 4 main areas including: Duong Xuan (Spring Road), Vuon Xuan (Spring Garden), Ben Xuan (Spring Wharf), and Gop Xuan (Spring Contribution).
Duong Xuan area will feature with gates of villages, river wharf, well, communal house ground… recalling the image of Viet Nam’s countryside.
Vuon Xuan area will be decorated as a rural area with different species of flowers, countryside vegetables and fruits including cucurbit, tomatoes, guava, capsicum and plum...; the Vietnamese countryside at harvest time with bustling atmosphere on yellow paddy fields…
On the water surface of the Ban Nguyet Lake, Ben Xuan area will feature with flower boats, flower garlands and colored lanterns praying for a lucky and prosperous new year.
Gop Xuan will put on display a collection of bonsai and art-tree works of artisans and farmers such as: two tamarind trees of 150 years old; two thistle trees of 300 years old, a golden apricot tree of 99 years old…. Specially, this area will host a flower contest aiming to honor valuable and rare flowers of Viet Nam.
Phu My Hung Flower Fair was held for the first time in 2009. This annual event has become an attractive destination to local residents and oversea Vietnamese on traditional Tet holiday.
